Gucci Loafers: A Look for Less

Gucci loafers are beyond pricey! There’s no need to spend over $500 when you can get a look-alike pair for under $30. Yes, the Gucci ones are real leather and made in Italy, but as a college student I don’t have $500 to throw away on shoes. These Forever 21 loafers look almost identical! They feature the slight heel, open back, faux leather, almond toe, and high-polish bar. These shoes are great to wear with any outfit, whether you’re trying to achieve a chic street style look or a modern business woman look. I absolutely adore these loafers, because they’re so comfortable and beyond trendy at an affordable price for all.

The exact loafers I purchased are currently not on the site right now (probably sold out), however I will link the metallic ones available, along with another inexpensive option. Be sure to keep an eye out for when the black ones arrive back on the Forever 21 site!

OOTD: Sporty Chic

Lately, I’ve been all about looking comfortable yet stylish. For the days you don’t want to dress up, but still want to remain trendy, a two-piece athletic set is the way to go! This two-piece set from Charlotte Russe is just the cutest, especially with the varsity stripes that add some flair. I love that the top is a crop top and that the waist band is high. I’m all for high-waisted leggings, because they’re so comfortable and flattering when worn with the right top. I basically only wear black, so the fact that this set is mainly black with the white stripes, really caught my attention. These two pieces go great together, but you can even wear them separately, since the colors are so basic. I felt that Vans would look the best with this outfit, because even these shoes have the striped detailing. My round Ray-Ban sunglasses make the look a little more fun, because of the silver reflective lenses. Lastly, I decided to add a cross-body bag I purchased while vacationing in Italy this summer. This bag is from a European store called Pull&Bear. I absolutely adore all the pins on the bag and love that they came included on the bag already, because pins and patches on clothing/accessories is everywhere in the fashion world right now.

The Fur Craze

As most of you have seen, fur coats have made quite the comeback! Whether it be a loud pattern, like cheetah, or a fierce dark color, fur coats are back to claim their spot in the world of fashion.

It’s important when purchasing fur to make sure it is fake fur (also known as fun fur or faux fur). Fake fur is made up of synthetic fibers designed to resemble real fur. Many organizations, like Peta, release articles discussing why purchasing real fur is so harmful and morally unjust. You can usually tell if fur is fake by the labeling on the clothing item, and of course if the price is cheaper. So, if you’re looking to keep a clear conscience and not be attacked by animal rights activists then I suggest you stick with the fake kind!

Fur coats/vests are simple to wear with any outfit. They add an edge to any look and create a glamorous appeal to whomever’s attention your hoping to catch.

This creme & brown faux fur vest is extremely stylish and comfortable to wear! This vest was purchased at Marshalls. The brand of the vest is Ci Sono. This vest hits at the waist and creates a cozy feel with its high stand-up collar.

This faux fur jacket was purchased from TJ Maxx. The brand of the jacket is called Retro by mejane. This ivory color is beautiful to pair with any outfit.

I kept my outfit chic & casual with thigh high boots from Charlotte Russe, high-waisted jeans from Pac-Sun, a loose tank from Marshalls which has the saying “Fashion Addict”, and lastly my faux fur coat in dark grey from Forever 21. The bag is from Forever 21 and the necklace is from Charlotte Russe. This outfit was greatly enhanced just by adding this glamorous fur coat!

For some more fur coat inspirations, I highly recommend the tv series Scream Queens on Fox. All the female characters in this tv series are usually wearing amazing fur coats in just about every episode!
